1. Divided by process nature
Punching die: Separate materials along a closed contour, including subdivision types such as drop die, punching die, and trimming die.
Bending die: Bend the sheet metal along a specified straight line to obtain a workpiece with a fixed angle and shape.
Deep drawing die: Processing flat billets into open hollow parts, such as metal containers, equipment casings, etc.
Forming die: causes local plastic deformation of the blank, completing processes such as bulging, necking, flanging, and shaping.
2. Divided by the degree of process combination
Single process mold: The press completes only one stamping process in one stroke, with a simple structure and low cost.
Composite mold: Completing two or more stamping processes simultaneously at the same workstation results in higher precision in part forming.
Progressive die (continuous die): The material strip passes through multiple workstations in sequence to complete all stamping processes, with extremely high production efficiency and suitable for large-scale production.
